Complex Incisional & Abdominal Wall Reconstruction
Expert Management for Single, Multiple, and Previously Failed Incisional Hernias.
What is an Incisional Hernia?
An incisional hernia develops at the site of a previous surgical scar where the abdominal fascia failed to heal completely. Over time, muscle layers separate, allowing intra-abdominal contents to push forward.

Complex & Recurrent Abdominal Wall Reconstruction:
When incisional hernias recur after multiple failed repairs or involve substantial muscle loss, advanced techniques can be employed either with an open approach or by using advanced robotic techniques in including Robotic Component Separations such as TAR - Transversus Abdominis Release.
Many patients have an excess of skin or an apron of fat and quite commonly an abdominoplasty is undertaken by a plastic surgeon at the same time.
Key Benefits of Robotic Reconstruction:
Restores Abdominal Core Function: Moves the rectus muscles back to the midline to restore core strength, rather than simply "bridging" the gap.
Avoids Large Open Incisions: Minimizes wound healing complications and infection risk compared to conventional open surgery.
Biocompatible Scaffolding: Utilizes advanced biological or synthetic mesh reinforcements tailored to your specific tissue quality.
